What unites them is that they were all closely connected to Bydgoszcz and contributed to its economic, technological and scientific development. They implemented their bold visions, thanks to which they left a lasting mark on the fabric of the city.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to conducting active professional activities, the patrons were very active and selfless in social life. They acted in various social and political circumstances, but always in the interest of Bydgoszcz and the people of Bydgoszcz.<\/p>\n<p>Honoring the co-creators of Bydgoszcz&#8217;s prosperity by appointing them as patrons of streets in the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park is an inspiration for investors and other people involved in the economic and technological development of Bydgoszcz.<br \/>\nBelow is a brief description of the patrons (an abbreviation of the justification for the resolution of the Bydgoszcz City Council No. XX\/371\/11 of the City Council of 29 December 2011 on naming a street in Bydgoszcz):<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bydgoszcz Industrialists Street<\/strong><br \/>\nThe main street, the axis of the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park. The street was named in this way to honour the rich industrial traditions of Bydgoszcz. The naming of this name will be a tribute to all Bydgoszcz industrialists and entrepreneurs who contributed to the economic development of Bydgoszcz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stanis\u0142awa Jana Rolbieskiego Street<\/strong><br \/>\nStanis\u0142aw Jan Rolbieski (1873-1939), engineer, organizer of industry in Bydgoszcz after Poland regained independence. Builder and director of the Kabel Polski company, director of the carbide factory in Smuka\u0142a, initiator of the establishment of the &#8220;Kauczuk&#8221; company. He cared about decent conditions for employees. He actively participated in the life of Bydgoszcz as a justice of the peace, state commissioner and honorary city councilor. He supported many social, charitable and cultural campaigns, and was active in numerous organizations. Honorary consul of Sweden. In 1939, he was shot by the Nazis together with his family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Franza Blumwe Street<\/strong><br \/>\nFranz J. Blumwe (1853-1903), owner and director of the Sawmill and Woodworking Machinery Factory, which exported products all over the world. The Woodworking Machinery Factory, which is still in operation today, was established on the basis of this factory. A social activist, he founded an employee health insurance fund and a funeral insurance fund. He established a care home for children of working professionals and dedicated his villa with a garden to this purpose. He was active in many organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hermann Frankego Street<\/strong><br \/>\nHermann August Franke (1829-1913), Bydgoszcz industrialist. Owner of a spirit distillery and liqueur factory, bathing establishments and a sawmill. President of the Bydgoszcz Chamber of Commerce. City councillor and councillor. Social activist, founder of many city initiatives, including a home for the elderly and terminally ill. Activist of the Bydgoszcz Beautification Society. His private collections gave rise to the City Museum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>J\u00f3zefa Milcherta Street<\/strong><br \/>\nJ\u00f3zef Milchert (1874-1930), merchant, entrepreneur and inventor. Owner of the Fine Liqueur and Vodka Factory. Creator of 25 patents. Outstanding national and social activist, founder of the Bydgoszcz Merchants&#8217; Society. Long-time councillor and member of the Magistrate, honorary city councillor. President and member of the bodies of societies and enterprises in Bydgoszcz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bogdana Raczkowskiego Street<\/strong><br \/>\nBogdan Raczkowski (1888-1939), engineer and architect. He contributed to the expansion of Bydgoszcz with new housing estates, a city stadium, a power plant, a bus station and industrial facilities. Co-designer of the Municipal Hospital in the Bielawy housing estate, designer of the church in Siernieczek. Head of the Office of Ground Construction, deputy chairman of the City Expansion Committee. Social activist. Shot by the Nazis in 1939 in Bydgoszcz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>W\u0142adys\u0142awa Paciorkiewicza Street<\/strong><br \/>\nW\u0142adys\u0142aw Paciorkiewicz (1876-1925), entrepreneur, inventor, designer of typewriters. In 1921, he launched the first Polish factory of typewriters designed by himself in Bydgoszcz. Author of numerous patents in the field of mechanics and devices. Active educational activist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jerzego Falkowskiego Street<\/strong><br \/>\nJerzy Falkowski (1926-2003), construction engineer. Director of the District Directorate for Urban Investments in Bydgoszcz, piloting, among others, construction of the Bydgoszcz housing estates of Kapu\u015bciska, B\u0142onia, Skrzetuska, Bartodziej\u00f3w, Wy\u017cyny and Fordon. Co-founder, president or member of many technical organizations in Bydgoszcz. Founder of the Graphic Works of National Education. He led to the construction of the Bydgoszcz House of Technician on the Brda River. Involved in the establishment of the Higher School of Engineering and then in its transformation into the Academy of Technology and Agriculture (currently the University of Technology and Life Sciences named after J. and J. \u015aniadecki in Bydgoszcz).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edmunda Matuszewskiego Street<\/strong><br \/>\nEdmund Matuszewski (1921-1999), mechanical engineer, made a major contribution to the activities of NOT in Bydgoszcz, the construction of the House of Technician, the creation of NOT regional branches in Toru\u0144, W\u0142oc\u0142awek, Grudzi\u0105dz and Inowroc\u0142aw, as well as the establishment of the Evening School of Engineering in Bydgoszcz (currently transformed into the University of Technology and Life Sciences named after J. and J. \u015aniadecki in Bydgoszcz).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Industrialists, outstanding engineers and designers.
